Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of the Lite Tuition website and platform.
Last updated: June 11, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Lite Tuition website and crowdfunding platform operated by Lite Tuition, LLC. By creating a campaign, contributing, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility
You may create a campaign as a student, or as the parent or guardian of a student. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
Campaigns
- You may run one active campaign at a time. An active campaign is one you use regularly to share and raise funds; activity, not a dollar goal, is what keeps a campaign active.
- To receive funds, you must complete our enrollment-verification process so we can disburse money directly to your school.
- If you withdraw, drop out, or fail to provide enrollment verification before your campaign completes, contributions are refunded to supporters, minus payment-processor fees.
Contributions & disbursement
Contributions are applied to a student's tuition and are sent directly to the school, by check or — where the school authorizes it — by electronic deposit. Supporters may contribute as a guest or with a free account, and may choose how their name is displayed.
Fees
The platform is free for students. Lite Tuition charges a 5% platform fee of the funds contributed by supporters, per campaign, and the payment processor charges 2.99% + $0.49 per contribution, charged by the payment processor. See our Fees page for details.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the platform — including providing false information, infringing others' rights, or using the service for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or remove campaigns that violate these Terms.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lite Tuition, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes & governing law
We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use means you accept the changes. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA.
